Looking after ourselves

When the loved one we care for dies, is there a path back to work for those of us receiving a Carer Pension?

Hello Forum,

When the loved one we care for dies, is there a path back to work for those of us receiving a Carer Pension?

Are we set adrift and expected to get a job within weeks after our loss?

We need to make funeral arrangements and tie up some loose ends before moving on and returning the the world.

Thank you.

I found this info on centrelink website regarding bereavement, they might be able to give you more information in person @LamontCranston  - two links.
