Hi @Twerp. It's really good to hear from you again and to know you're feeling safe and cushioned (love that) somewhere where you're being treated well. Sorry to hear it took what it did to get there though. Great to hear you have some awesome sounding support.

I understand when doctors prefer to work with what they see each moment in front of them. I also think it can be reassuring that our symptoms are a known thing from known causes, rather than just unexplained and leaving us feeling weird or crazy. I personally felt such relief when I was diagnosed with CD. It finally made sense, rather than me telling doctors I get paralysed regularly and them just looking at me sideways like I'm crazy or making it up. That hurt much more than being diagnosed and having my questions about it answered. Having a disability employment service wanting your diagnosed documented sounds like a good opportunity to understand better what is going on.
